 Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup: Kaltungo Boys are Champions of the 7th Edition Kaltungo Boys defeated Komta United to emerge champions of the 7th edition of the Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup. Ali Abubakar’s solitary strike in the 60th minute was the difference in an entertaining final that saw both teams playing cautiously.   Abubakar was well positioned to connect perfectly to a cross from Saidu Rabiu when the defenders failed to deal with the cross. With the victory, Kaltungo Boys go home with a giant trophy and a cash prize of #750,000.00 while Komta United go home with #450,000.00.  NPFL Clubs Set to Proceed on a Two Weeks New Year Break   Against the backdrop of the ongoing disagreement between the IMC and the club Owners, there are indications that members-Clubs are set to proceed on a two weeks New year break. According to a top official of the Club Owners Association, the move is coming on the heels of the unsettled matter of the Abridged league format proposed by the IMC and the straight league format which was overwhelmingly proposed by the club owners.  IMC Approved Home Grounds for 5 NPFL Clubs  The interim management committee (IMC) of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has approved the new home grounds for five NPFL clubs whose stadia did not meet up with a standards set for 2022/2023 abridge league season IMC Release Approved Venues for NPFL Fixtures Rangers Int'l, Lobi Stars, Nasarawa Utd, Kwara Utd, and Niger Tornadoes fail requirements and will now play at adopted home grounds.  1. Rangers Int'l - Awka City Stadium  2. Nasarawa Utd - New Jos Township Stadium  3. Kwara United - Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan. 4. Lobi Stars - New Jos Road Stadium, Jos 5. The competition took place across six countries namely Nigeria, Benin Republic, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Gambia, and Togo.  Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup: Kaltungo Boys and Komta United to Play in the Final Kaltungo Boys and Komta United are the two finalists of the Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup.  While Kaltungo Boys defeated Dinge Flying Bees, Komta United defeated Highlanders FC Ture. Kaltungo Boys took the hard route of a penalty shootout to make it to the finals after playing a 1-1 draw with Dinge Flying Bees. They took the lead in the 37th minute through Ali Abubakar and held on to the lead to the end of the first half. In the second half, Dinge Flying Bees restored parity from the spot when their captain, Mohammed Befeto scored after the referee had adjudged a handball against Kaltungo Boys. Otunba Isiaka Adeleke Memorial Cup: Ojo Olowe's Hat-trick Sees Atakumosa East FC Through to Quarterfinals Atakumosa East FC was the second team to progress to the last eight in the boxing day fixture of the Isiaka Adetunji Adeleke Memorial Cup after beating Ife South by three goals to nil.  Ojo Olowe was the hero of the day, as the young player netted the first hat-trick of the Competition, scoring in the 21st, 38th, and 63rd minutes of the game respectively.   Adamu Yola Unity Cup: Komta United, Highlanders FC Ture Seal Semifinal Berth Komta United and Highlanders FC Ture have reached the semi-finals of the 7th Edition of the Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup. Both quarter-final matches were played on Friday at the Olusegun Onasanjo stadium in Kaltungo. The first quarter-final match saw Komta United beat  Mai Rana Boys FC  8-7 on penalties after it ended 1-1 in regulations time. It was an evenly contested affair between both sides as Mai Rana Boys dominated possession in the first half while Komta United also had a fair share of their possession in the second half. The beneficiaries will receive several food items and other materials. Prince Abayomi Ogunjimi, National President of the vibrant supporters club stated that the "ANFASSC Seed of Love Outreach 2022" will hold on Thursday, December 22 at the club's Secretariat, 96, Ogunlana Drive, Surulere Lagos, starting from noon. He noted that it's part of their efforts to continue reaching out to society, particularly as the 2022 yuletide season draws nearer.
