Students Leaders Kick as NOUN Increases School Fees

Amid controversies surrounding the increment in the tuition fees for students of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) both Undergraduate and postgraduate,  the National Secretariat of the Congress of NOUN Students (CoNS) has given a prompt reaction to the sudden development.

According to a memo released to CoNS-MEDIA and made available to newsmen which were signed by the National President, Lady  Comrade Abolore Rukayat Busari, and the Public Relations Officer, Comrade KAREEM Shakiru. O, the student's body duly acknowledge the latest development and described it as an unwelcome idea while assuring the students of positive feedback as soon as possible.

“It has come to our notice that there’s been a sudden increment in our school fees. However, this also is a formal appeal to every student to keep calm and trust that a message will be relayed concerning the increment.

This is also a gentle appeal to the students to hold on concerning the payment of school fees. CoNS National Secretariat is concerned and also working tirelessly on their end to ensure there’s positive feedback in no time.

We want to plead to the students to shun any form of protests and unwarranted dialogue without the presence of the student union leadership as we understand that the three Cs (Consultation, Consolidation, and Confrontation) of Aluta will be used accordingly.

Congress of NOUN Students being a progressive union admires the tranquility and serenity enjoyed so far on our various campuses and enjoins NOUN Management and all necessary stakeholders to react swiftly to our request". The memo reads.
