City Merit Awards 2022: Aisha Falode Wins Best Football  Administrator Award

It was the turn of highly celebrated Football Administrator, Aisha Falode to add another illustrious feather to her well-decorated cap, as she joined the list of distinguished Nigerians and organizations that have been honoured at the Annual Prestigious City Merit Awards.

Aisha Falode, who is a member of the NFF Executive board, was recognized and honoured as the ‘Best Football Administrator Of The Year 2022’, at the annual awards organized by Bulfazi Media Services and in conjunction with Better Society Foundation, New Media Editors Of Nigeria and Nigeria Sports Centre.

In the words of the President and National Coordinator of the City Merit Awards, Asiwaju Akeem Busari, “Aisha Falode, is a  quintessential football administrator, who has broken the gender barriers and has equally been using her resourcefulness as a vastly experienced football administrator, to empower women footballers, as well as, giving a new life to the game in Nigeria,”

“We recognize and celebrate her today and always. We also hope this award would further spur her into contributing more to the socio-economic development of Nigeria, using sports and particularly, football as a tool.

Receiving the award certificate on behalf of Falode, vastly experienced and versatile sports journalist, Dapo Sotuminu, thanked the organizers for the recognition and honour bestowed on Falode. Adding that would further encourage her to do more for society.

She joins the illustrious list of recipients that includes, Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi, High Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike, Hon. Muibi Alade Folawiyo, Ambassador Samuel Ikpea, Prince Dapo Ajibade, Dr. Michael Abayomi Egbayelo, Hon. Bukola Olopade, Engr. Ahmadu Musa Kida, Odion Ighalo, Hon. Ladi Balogun, Alhaji Gafar Olawale Liameed, Dr.Michael Orobosa Ubogu, Prince Efemena Elutabe, and many others.
