Kwara United GM Badawiy Banned for Two Years from Lagos Stadia

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place. He made reckless attempts to run and celebrate in front of the five state governors seated in the VVIP section of the stadium, thereby jeopardizing their safety as well as that of other prominent dignitaries and industry leaders present.   As we approach the grand finale of the 2024/2025 President Federation Cup, the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) is committed to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all spectators.  To achieve this, we have implemented heightened security measures at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena which can accommodate six thousand fans. In line with international best practices, we have ensured that the seating arrangements at the arena are strictly followed. This means that spectators will be required to sit in their designated areas, and access will be restricted to authorized personnel only. We have made it a priority to make the event accessible to a wide range of football fans. Popular side tickets will be sold for Five Hundred Naira (₦500), while VIP tickets will be sold for Ten Thousand Naira (₦10,000).
