  The commitment of President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF), Ahmadu Musa Kida, to grassroots basketball development received another significant boost as Ahmadiyya Platform Basketball Team emerged champions of the 2026 edition of the Ahmadu Musa Kida (AMK) Foundation 3×3 Basketball Tournament held at the Rumfa College Basketball Court in Kano. The one-day championship, sponsored through the Ahmadu Musa Kida Foundation, is one of several grassroots initiatives championed by Kida for many years. The NBBF president has consistently invested personal resources in youth basketball development for several years, long before his emergence as President of the NBBF. NSC DG Olopade Leads NIG Delegation to Sanwo-Olu as Lagos Inaugurates LOC for 2026 National Intermediate Games

  The Director-General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Bukola Olopade, on Wednesday led members of the Main Organising Committee (MOC) of the 2026 National Intermediate Games (NIG) on a courtesy visit to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as preparations gather momentum for the maiden edition of the championship scheduled for October. The high-level visit, held at Lagos House, Marina, formed part of a three-day inspection and consultative tour by the NSC and the MOC to assess facilities and strengthen collaboration with the Lagos State Government ahead of the Games. The delegation inspected key sporting venues, athlete accommodation centres and support infrastructure earmarked for the competition.
