FISA CONDEMNS DISRESPECT TOWARD THE ONIGBETI, CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE APOLOGY

The Federation of Igbeti Students’ Association (FISA) strongly condemns the false and disrespectful claims made by the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) against our revered monarch, the Onigbeti of Igbetiland.


Our Kabiyesi has been a symbol of peace, unity, and development since ascending the throne. Through his wisdom and leadership, Igbeti has continued to experience growth, harmony, and progress in all sectors. His reign remains a blessing to the land and its people.


We therefore call on NANS to retract their baseless allegations and tender an unreserved apology to the throne and the good people of Igbeti. The throne of Onigbeti of Igbeti is sacred and must not be dragged in the mud or disrespected in any form.


FISA stands firmly with Kabiyesi, appreciating his continuous efforts toward promoting peace, youth empowerment, and community development. We urge all sons and daughters of Igbeti to remain calm and united, as truth will always prevail.

Kwara United GM Badawiy Banned for Two Years from Lagos Stadia

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place. He made reckless attempts to run and celebrate in front of the five state governors seated in the VVIP section of the stadium, thereby jeopardizing their safety as well as that of other prominent dignitaries and industry leaders present.
