SWAGA Predicts Landslide Victory for President Tinubu in 2027
The South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA), a foremost support group for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has predicted that the president's victory in 2027 would be the greatest landslide in the history of the fourth republic. National Chairman of SWAGA who doubles as the Chairman Board of Nigeria Port Authority, Senator Dayo Adeyeye, made this declaration at a press conference to launch SWAGA 2.0 in preparation for the 2027 polls.
Senator Adeyeye dismissed the notion that the North would not support Tinubu's re-election, describing it as a "mere myth narrative." He emphasized that the North is not a monolith and that different parts of the region have diverse interests and belong to different political parties.
The SWAGA chairman highlighted several legacy projects embarked upon by President Tinubu, including the 9th Mile-Oturkpo-Makurdi Road, Sokoto-Badagry Highway, and Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, among others. He lauded the president for his bold moves, including the removal of fuel subsidy and floating of the Naira, which he said have helped to prevent the collapse of the nation's economy.
Senator Adeyeye expressed confidence that President Tinubu's leadership would advance the collective interests of Nigeria as a whole.
He noted that SWAGA had been vindicated on its message to Nigerians five years ago about the president's sterling qualities as a leader.
The SWAGA chairman emphasized that the group is resolved on projecting good governance to the people and sensitizing them on the need to support President Tinubu's initiatives. He predicted that Nigerians would experience exponential development and growth in the next few years under the president's visionary leadership.
Senator Adeyeye dismissed the opposition's efforts, particularly those of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), as a "stillbirth." He expressed confidence that President Tinubu would lead Nigeria to greater heights if given a second term in office.
He emphasized that SWAGA is preparing for massive mobilization across the country to support President Tinubu's re-election bid, driven by their conviction that he is the best leader for Nigeria's progress and development.
