Sharafadeen Onilu, Mr. Nigeria Congratulates Fatal Jimoh on his new Appointment

The Chairman, National Assembly (NASS) Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Alh. Sharafadeen Abdulkadri Onilu and Hon. Abdul-Hameed Oladipupo Alli (a.k.a Mr Nigeria), the publisher of the Asiwaju Trumpet and Kwara People magazines, who was a former TIC Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government, have jointly sent congratulatory messages to the newly appointed Chief of Staff to the Executive Chairman of the National Assembly Service Commission, Comrade Fatai O. Jimoh on his new appointment.        

 

In his congratulatory message, the NUJ NASS Chapel Chairman, popularly known as 'Baba Ilorin', described Comrade Jimoh, a double- crowned Prince from the two Royal families in Odo-Eku, Isin Local Government Area of Kwara State, as a worthy ambassador of Kwara State in the National Assembly Service. 


Comrade Fatai's legislative contributions to the growth and development of the National Assembly Service is evidenced from being part of the drafters of the legislation that birthed the Standing Orders of the Senate and the House of Representatives in 1998 under the Chairmanship of Prince Oluyemi Ogunyomi; establishment of the National Assembly Service Commission under the Clerkship of Alhaji Dr Ibrahim Salim in 2000; National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies under Senator Ken Nnamani, GCON in 2007; and the National Assembly Service Pensions Act, 2023 under the Clerk of House of Representatives, DanZaria Yahaya.


History will be kind to Comrade Fatai Jimoh for resuscitating the moribund Department of Statistics through his uncommon outstanding performance with the production of six different publications within fifteen months in 2020-2021.


Having served the National Assembly Service for Complete 35 years, he rose to the rank of the Deputy Clerk Legislative of the House Representatives before he retired.He was once a Personal Assistant cum Special Assistant to the Clerk of Senate,Mr Gabriel Ominiyi; Personal Assistant (PA) and Special Assistant(S.A) I to the Senate President of Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Ken Nnamani, GCON; and later Special Adviser to Dr. Bukola Saraki, another President of the Senate, Federal Republic of Nigeria.



Similarly, the publisher of ASIWAJU TRUMPET Magazine and former TIC Chairman of Ilorin West Local Government, Hon. Alli has sent his heart felt congratulations to the recently appointed Chief of Staff to Chief Dr. Saviour Enyiekere,the Chairman of the National Assembly Commission ( NASC).


The publisher further described the newly appointed chief of staff as a Kwaran worthy of emulation and celebration. He thanked the joint leadership of both the Senate President, Senator Godswill Obot Akpabio,GCON, and the Rt. Hon Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dr Tajudeen Abass, GCON, for throwing their support towards the emergence of the hardworking Nigerian whose service will continue to add values to the Commission and the National Assembly Service at large. 


He therefore prayed for his continuous rise in profiles from Grace to Grace in his chosen legislative endeavour based on his experience as a National President of Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria in 2011 and others too numerous to mention.

Gov. Okpebolo Rewards Edo Governors Cup Champions With Brand-New Buses

  Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebolo rewarded the champions of the 2025 Edo Governors Cup with brand-new Toyota Hiace buses. In an electrifying finale held on Tuesday, 27th May 2025, Ogbe Secondary School stamped their authority in the male category, defeating St. Peter's Grammar School, Agenebode 3-0.
