El-Kanemi Warriors secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Nasarawa United in their Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clash on Saturday, February 8, 2025.


The match, played at the El-Kanemi Warriors' home ground, saw the hosts dominate proceedings, creating several scoring opportunities throughout the game. Despite Nasarawa United's best efforts, they were unable to find the back of the net, thanks to El-Kanemi's solid defensive display.


El-Kanemi's winning goal came courtesy of Al-Amin Umar's well-taken strike in the 30th minutes of play which proved to be the difference between the two teams. The win moves El-Kanemi up the NPFL standings, while Nasarawa United remains in 18th position.


The victory marks an important win for El-Kanemi, who have been working to improve their standings in the league. With this result, they will look to build momentum and continue their push up the table.

Kwara United GM Badawiy Banned for Two Years from Lagos Stadia

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place.
