The people of Ifelodun Local Government in Kwara State have reason to celebrate, as the newly elected Chairman Hon.  Abdulrasheed Femi Yusuf pledges all-round development, inclusivity, and people's welfare.


     

In his victory speech, Hon. Yusuf expressed gratitude to voters and stakeholders who supported him.


    

As an experienced grassroots politician, Hon. Yusuf assured that his wealth of experience, including his tenure as SA on Legislative Matters in the Kwara State House of Assembly, would benefit his people. He outlined his  plan, prioritizing people's welfare, encompassing workers, traditional rulers, youths, women, and those with special needs

Education sector revitalization

Security

Rural development among others.



He  opined that within  100 days in office all the people in Ifelodun will feel his impact with rapid development,because it is in deed a new dawn. 


Hon. Yusuf reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling electoral promises, leveraging his grassroots connections to understand his people's needs.


This follows his resounding victory in the September 21, 2024, local Government elections, where he secured 22,524 votes, surpassing opposition candidates.

Kwara United GM Badawiy Banned for Two Years from Lagos Stadia

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place. He made reckless attempts to run and celebrate in front of the five state governors seated in the VVIP section of the stadium, thereby jeopardizing their safety as well as that of other prominent dignitaries and industry leaders present.
