Unilorin FM's 15th Anniversary: VC Advocates Regular Sports Outings for Staff, Students, as he Celebrates 15th Anniversary of Unilorin FM
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has directed the UNILORIN Sport Council and the Sports Unit to organize regular sports outings for both staff and students of the institution.
Prof. Egbewole gave this directive today during a Special Fitness Session held at the University Stadium, marking the commencement of the 15th anniversary of the university's radio station, UNILORIN FM 89.3.
In his remarks, the Vice Chancellor explained the importance of physical exercise for all members of the university community.
While recommending regular exercise as a way to enhance both physical and mental well-being, Prof. Egbewole mentioned the role of sports in fostering a healthy and vibrant campus environment.
The Vice Chancellor, however, congratulated the management and staff of UNILORIN FM on their 15th anniversary, as he expressed hopes for the continued success of the station and the programs lined up for the celebration.
He also shared optimism that the anniversary would serve as a milestone for the station, contributing positively to the university, its community, and the student body.
The Special Fitness Session was part of a series of events planned to commemorate the 15th anniversary of UNILORIN FM, and it reflects the station's ongoing commitment to promoting the well-being and engagement of the university community.
The Special Fitness Session was attended by all the principal officers of the university of Ilorin, including Deans of Faculties, Heads of Department, Directors, other staff members and the students of the University.
