Kwara NURTW Chairman, Alhaji Ariwoola, Speaks Out on Fuel Hike

 




Alhaji Abdulrasaq Ariwoola, Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Kwara, has expressed concerns over the impact of the recent fuel price increase on drivers in Nigeria.


The Chairman NURTW in kwara stated this while granting an interview with the journalists in Ilorin, Alhaji Ariwoola urged his members to remain calm and prayerful, emphasizing the importance of supporting the president Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Governor of kwara State Mallam AbdulRahman Abdulrasaq and other relevant authorities. He praised the peaceful nature of Kwara residents, citing their decision not to participate in recent protests.He said the members appreciated the support of the governor of kwara for his support.


He said that despite financial challenges he commended the efforts of his members, highlighting the Èrò Ọ̀mọ̀ branch's N15 million investment in upgrading their motor park. He encouraged other branches to follow suit.


The chairman also acknowledged the contributions of former National President Alhaji Najeem Yasin and current Acting President Alhaji Isa Ọrẹ towards empowering members and the step of seeking support from the Kwara state Governor and President for all drivers in Nigeria.

Alhaji Ariwoọlá emphasized the need for law-abiding behavior to maintain the union's integrity, seeking divine guidance at all times. He thanked the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Zulu Gambari for his prayers and fatherly roles at all times.
