CoNS Condoles With New NOUNAA President

The leadership of the Congress of the National Open University of Nigeria (CoNS) has commiserated with the president of the National Open University of Nigeria Alumni Association (NOUNAA), Com. Ifeanyi Obikwelu over the death of his mother. 


Com. Obikwelu lost his mother to the cold hands of death on Monday, the 27th of November, 2023 at old age.  


The condolence message was contained in a release by the CoNS President, Com.  Shakiru Olatumde Kareem and made available to the press on Tuesday where he expressed his sympathy with the new NOUNAA president.

Dear Comr. Ifeanyi Obikwelu, 


It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt sympathy that we extend our condolences to you and your family on the passing of your beloved mother. Please accept our sincere and warm condolences during this difficult time.


Losing a loved one is an immense and profound loss, and our thoughts are with you as you navigate through this period of grief. Your mother's memory will undoubtedly be cherished, and her legacy will live on through the love and wisdom she shared.


May you find strength in the support of friends, family, and the cherished memories you hold. The entire Congress of the National Open University of Nigeria Students (CoNS) community joins in mourning your loss and offering comfort in any way we can.


During this challenging time, please remember that you are not alone, and our thoughts are with you.

Kwara United GM Badawiy Banned for Two Years from Lagos Stadia

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place. He made reckless attempts to run and celebrate in front of the five state governors seated in the VVIP section of the stadium, thereby jeopardizing their safety as well as that of other prominent dignitaries and industry leaders present.
