 #Delta2022: 36 States and FCT Comes Alive for 21st National Sports Festival





The stage is set for the biggest sports event in Nigeria, as the 21st National Sports Festival lights up the country. 


About 14,000 athletes from the 36 states of the federation including the FCT will compete in over 30 different sports for medals, pride, and honour.


Monday, 28th November 2022 signals the start of the festivities with this year's event tagged "Uniting Nigeria, inspiring the next generation". 


Minister for Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare earlier stated that sports remain the biggest uniting factor in the country and the current administration will continually explore its potential while creating a platform to usher in the next generation of sports stars in Nigeria.

Kwara United GM Badawiy Banned for Two Years from Lagos Stadia

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place. He made reckless attempts to run and celebrate in front of the five state governors seated in the VVIP section of the stadium, thereby jeopardizing their safety as well as that of other prominent dignitaries and industry leaders present.
