7th Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup: Kulishin United seals playoff round ticket


Kulishin United bagged their playoff round ticket of the ongoing 7th Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup after they whipped PK Rangers 4-1 in a Group C tie on Wednesday at Shongom LGA center for their second consecutive victory.


Midfield maestro Kembu Lawan popularly called Messi wrapped up what was a whitewash for PK Rangers. He came off the bench to score from a brilliant right-footed volley after he was released by Samson Apolos who unselfishly passed the ball to him even while at an advantage to scoring in the 90th minute.


Kulishin United topped Group C in Shongom LGA center after winning their two games. They beat Yuru Boys 2-1 in their first game before the show of supremacy against PK Rangers. 


They thus qualified with six points from two games ahead of Yuri boys and PK Rangers.


However, Kulishin United will play a playoff round to pick a Round of 16 tickets. They will face the winner of Group D in Shongom center which will either be Panwa FC, Catering, or Pero Boys on the 4th of December.


Kulishin United crashed out of the 6th edition of the Adamu Yola Gombe South Unity Cup in the quarterfinal stage.

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
