The National Executive President of the Congress of National Open University of Nigeria Student (CoNS) Lady Comrade Abolore Rukayat Busari, has felicitated with the newly admitted students of NOUN on their matriculation ceremony, Admonished them to be good ambassadors of the institution.
The statement released by the Office of National President of Congress of NOUN Students to CONS-MEDIA today, 15TH of October 15, 2022, in the Ilorin study Centre, Officially congratulated all the newly matriculated students.
“It is no longer news that the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) is a revered tertiary institution nationally and internationally with an approximate population of over five hundred thousand students and today they had their annual matriculation ceremony.
On behalf of all undergraduate students of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) home and abroad, I must congratulate all the matriculating students for the privilege of being among thousands of students given admission by the institution.
Choosing NOUN is one of the wisest decisions you had made. You are, however, advised to strictly abide by the rules and regulations of the Institution, be focused in terms of the association you make, have Regular attendance at both online and physical lectures organized by NOUN and CONS, and always marry your course materials to make good success of your studentship. You must be determined not to be deterred or distracted on your journey to success here at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). “She said.
Comrade Rukayat also stated that the Congress of NOUN students (CONS) is ever ready to support the students on any challenges and gallantly ready to fight for their rights any day any time.” The Congress of NOUN Students ably led by me, Lady Comrade Abolore Rukayat Busari will continue to support you all in all ramifications of your academic career with rapt attention and responsiveness to whichever challenges may arise during your stays in this prestigious institution. CONS readiness and indefatigability to the welfare of the students of this great school shall never remain dormant as this student body (CONS) is for all and our door is always active to curb any challenges of the students.” she uttered.
Lastly, she urged the matriculating students to endeavor to shun all forms of vises, ungodly peer pressure, and depraved characters. “The University has rules and regulations guiding the conduct of all students and you are expected to familiarize yourself with these regulations and abide strictly by them. As we are certain and trust NOUN management to make your stay in the University worthwhile.” She said.
She prayed that both old and newly admitted students would not fall by the way but they shall all end well and end strong.
