Rukayat Shittu Congratulates Newly Elected NOUN Congress First Female President

The famous All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate for House of Assembly in Kwara State, Hon. Rukayat Shittu has congratulated Com. Abolore Rukayat Busari on her emergence as the new President of Congress of National Open University of Nigeria Students (CoNS).


Rukayat Shittu who is also a former Senate President for the association in her congratulatory message commended the president for her courage and doggedness at the just concluded CoNS Convention held in Bayelsa State.


She however charged the new president to be upright and not to disappoint students of the institution, particularly the female students.


Rukayat also saluted the other contestant, Abdulyekeen Uthman for his spirit of sportsmanship and urged him not to get discouraged with the result of the election while she seeks for his continuous support for CoNS.


Busari Rukayat Abolore, a 400l student of the Biology Department, Ilorin Study Centre is the first female President elected and will manage the affair of the students association of more than 85 study centers across the country for the next session.


The 4th Congress of NOUN Students (CoNS) convention was held in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State on 30th July 2022.

Kwara United GM Badawiy Banned for Two Years from Lagos Stadia

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place. He made reckless attempts to run and celebrate in front of the five state governors seated in the VVIP section of the stadium, thereby jeopardizing their safety as well as that of other prominent dignitaries and industry leaders present.
