NOUN Ilorin Study Center Produces New President for CoNS

One of the branches of the most populated institution in Nigeria, the National Open University of Nigeria, Ilorin Study Center has produced a new female president for the Congress of NOUN Students, CoNS, Busari Rukayat Abolore.


Rukayat who contended with one other student from Abeokuta Study Centre, Abdulyekeen Uthman emerged as the new president of the student National body at the 4th convention held in Bayelsa state.


She is a 400l student of the biology department and will be the first female in the history of the association to emerge as president.


The distance learning institution, the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has more than 85 study centers in Nigeria.


The 4th Convention was witnessed by the CoNS Stakeholders across the federation, delegates of the Bayelsa Government, NANS, and students of the NOUN.

Kwara United GM Badawiy Banned for Two Years from Lagos Stadia

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place. He made reckless attempts to run and celebrate in front of the five state governors seated in the VVIP section of the stadium, thereby jeopardizing their safety as well as that of other prominent dignitaries and industry leaders present.
