Hon. Tijani Adewoyin Congratulates New CoNS President, Abolore

The member representing Oyo South Senatorial District in the Southern Youth Assembly of Nigeria (SYAN), Hon. Adekola Tijani Adewoyin has congratulated the newly elected first female president of Congress of the National Open University of Nigeria (CoNS), Com. Abolore Rukayat Busari on her emergence.


This was contained in a congratulatory statement issued in Ibadan on Sunday, 31st July, and made available to newsmen to felicitate with the new CoNS president. He urged the Com. Abolore to embrace her co-contestant and run an all-inclusive administration will bring succor to the students' lights.


Hon. Adewoyin described Com. Abolore's emergence as a divine and a sign that women are also important in politics as he also emphasised on the need for more women participation in politics which he noted will bring even development not only to the women cause but also to the nation building at large.


Hon. Adewoyin also advised the new president to carry all students across board along in her administration and shun ethnicity and religious favouritism which he said has been the bane of Nigeria problem.


Com. Abolore had emerged as the new CoNS president having garnered more votes than his challenger at the polls, Com Shakiru Abdulyekeen at the CoNS elective congress held in Yanagoa, the Bayelsa state capital on Saturday, 30th July, 2022.
