Owo Killings: SYAN Condemns Massacre of Worshipers

The leadership of the Southern Youths Assembly of Nigeria (SYAN) has condemned in its totality the Sunday's gruesome killing of worshipers by terrorists in the Catholic Church at Owaluwa, Owo, Ondo State.


This was contained in a statement issued by the House Chairman on media and publicity, Hon. Adewoyin Tijani in Ibadan on Monday and made available to newsmen.


The statement reads, SYAN Sympathize with victims' families And subsequently calls state and Federal Governments as a matter of urgency to Investigate the horrible act to unravel the criminals behind it, Bringing them to face the full wrath of the law.


"Attacking and killings of worshipers in their worship place had become an absurd routine in the country and were appalling that such criminal acts were freely in the open. SYAN maintains that The incident should be painstakingly investigated to unravel the criminals behind it to quickly bring them to justice".


SYAN mourn the dead, condole with their families, the catholic church, and the Government of Ondo State, and once again charged the emergency agencies to swing into action and bring succor to the wounded.

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place.
