Kwara Pilgrims Are in High Spirit and Good Health in Saudi - Dr. Sambo

The Chairman Kwara state pilgrims Board Dr. Abdulquadri Ayodele Sambo (Sambaki) has disclosed that all all the 539 Kwara pilgrims airlifted to Saudi Arabia are in good condition and superb health.

    

Dr. Sambo made this known in an interview with the newsmen at the Airport  today. 


He noted that all the Airlifted pilgrims are in Medina and they are expected to spend just one week there before moving to Mecca to perform the Hajj rights 

    

The Chairman Kwara Pilgrims Board said there was a little delay in airlifting due to COVID-19 vaccination which was  alien to the normal traditional procedure .he affirmed that this has been rectified

  

He thanked governor of Kwara state Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq for his support and the Kwara Amir Hajj Alhaji Awwal Akewusola.

    

Dr Sambo   said that the total slots given to kwara by the Saudi Arabia government this year was  1409 .He said very soon the rest of the pilgrims will be airlifted because the Max Airline being used this year to convey Kwara Pilgrims has a capacity 560 passengers at a go.

    

He stressed further that the Kwara pilgrims are accommodated in a first class hotel in Medina while they would be accommodated in Mosfala Hotels which is very close to Kaaba for conveniency

   

Dr Sambo urged this year Pligrims to pray for peace and progress of not only Kwara but Nigeria at large

Kwara United GM Badawiy Banned for Two Years from Lagos Stadia

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place.
