A former Senior Special Assistant to the governor of Niger State on Entrepreneurship, Hon.  Oladeji Adegbite  Ganiyat Folakemi  has encouraged Muslim faithfuls all over the country to pray for the peace, unity, and development of Nigeria.


Hon.  Ganiyat Folakemi made the appeal in an interview with journalists recently in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.


The politician cum philanthropist, who is also an aspirant for the Irepo, Orelope, and Olorunsogo Federal Constituency of Oyo State to the Green Chamber of National Assembly said Nigeria needs the prayers of all Muslims during this Holy Month of Ramadan.


Hon. Oladeji Adegbite Ganiyat Folakemi opined that the peace and unity of Nigeria are not negotiable, saying all hands must be on deck to strengthen the fragile unity of the most populous Black African Nation.


Speaking on the significance of the Holy Month of Ramadan, the astute philanthropist said the season is an occasion for the rich to get enormous rewards from their Creator by helping the poor people in their surroundings.


While observing that the reward of any good deeds in the Month of Ramadan is tenfolds, she urged the well-to-do people to  make their supplications, do whatever they could to alleviate the sufferings of the people.


Hon. Oladeji Adegbite Ganiyat Folakemi however, announced that as her usual practice, she has commenced the distribution of Ramadan gifts to the people of Irepo, Orelope, and Olorunsogo Constituency in Oyo State. The former Governor's aides said she doesn't like to be making noise about her philanthropic nature.


She added that the gesture is to appreciate her people for always trusting her, for always believing in her, and for always supporting her.

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.
