Easter Celebration: Hon. Adekola Adewoyin Felicitates with Christians

The Honorable representing the ever vibrant and resourceful youth of Oyo South Senatorial District in the Southern Youth Assembly of Nigeria  (SYAN), Adekola Tijani Adewoyin has felicitated with the Christian faithful on the occasion of this year's Easter celebration.


Hon. Adewoyin urged Christian adherents in the state to exhibit love, peace and tolerance as it’s been preached by Jesus Christ.


This Easter message was contained in a statement issued in Ibadan in on Sunday, 17th April, by his Special Assistant on Medial, Olusola Hammed, and made available to newsmen who urged all Christians to leave with their neighbour in peace, harmony, and togetherness.


The youth leader in the statement stated that the Easter period is the Christian holiday, celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after his crucifixion. In Christian faith, the Resurrection represents Christ’s victory over death and the promise of eternal life for those who follow him. Christians the refer to Easter as Resurrection Day or Resurrection Sunday.


Easter Sunday marks the end of the 46-day preparatory season of Lent, which is significant in cultures around the world, especially by Christian faithfuls.


Celebrating the Significant and holy day. In this season of rebirth, it became imperative to preach peace, love, and togetherness, therefore, prioritizing unity and tranquility.


Hon. Adewoyin however, charges Christians faithful to pray fervently for the general peaceful co-existence of the country, hence this period is over time regarded as prayer time.

Kwara United GM Badawiy Banned for Two Years from Lagos Stadia

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place.
