NPFL 2021/22: Eguma Confident Rivers United Will Defeat Katsina United on Sunday

Rivers United technical manager, Stanley Eguma has expressed confidence that his squad will pick maximum points at home to Katsina United on Sunday.


Eguma said while admitting his team is not under pressure to deliver the desired result in their first home match on Sunday during a press conference ahead of their weekend Nigeria Professional Football League fixture. The experienced gaffer said that Rivers United need to build on their impressive start to the new season having earned a 1-1 draw on matchday one against Lobi Stars in Makurdi.




Eguma was asked if the match against Katsina United is a must-win game and he said 


Rivers United will host Katsina United on Sunday 26th December 2021 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadi4 by 4 pm.

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place.
