The organiser of the much anticipated Ummah Cup 2021 and Managing Director of Sollytron Systems Ltd, Mr. Sabur Oliyide has stated that the competition is aimed at uniting and bringing together Muslim youth in Abuja and it's environs. He noted that the competition will bring together Muslims youth, professionals and artisan of various backgrounds and serve as a avenue to chat a new course for the Muslim Ummah.


Mr. Abdulsabur, whose company Sollytron Systems Ltd is collaborating with Abuja Muslims Forum to organise the competition stated this last weekend during the pre-competition  friendly match between Jaiz Bank and Federal Mortgage Bank teams at the Jabi field. He stressed the need for the Ummah to come together as one irrespective of age, tribe and social affiliations.



Also speaking the friendly match, the team leader of Jaiz Bank, Abdulazeez Alimi said the match was a wonderful experience for him and his team, "it's for Ummah to come together as one".


"We used the match to know our strength and weakness and that of our today's opponent (FMBN) who will may likely play against in the competition proper when it starts".



Commenting on his dominant over FMBN team which made them triumph by by eight goals to two, Alimi told pressmen that they had been training together as a team for close to five years and "we have played against teams like Central Bank, Zenith bank, FMBN among others so coming together again today is more like our regular training which makes easy for Is to win with that wide margin".


Our efforts of regular training every now and then has really paid off today and we are happy about it, even though FMBN played very well during the match but we showed superiority over them and that's what separate us from them" Alimi concluded.


He also stressed that Jaiz Bank will present a formidable team when the Unmah Cup start.


Also speaking, the team leader of FMBN football team, Yinkefi Isah express satisfaction despite his team's trashing in the hand Jaiz Bank team and says the match had given him and his team an insight into where their lapses are. 


Isah however commended the organiser of the Unmah Cup and says the competition will help unite Mulsilm Ummah youth together and do things in a morally manner that suits their creator.


He also pledged his banks commitment of presenting team that will not only participate at the tournament but will strive to win in a free and fair manner.
