Highly Rated Rivers United Youngster Ishaq Happy to be Named in NPFL All-Stars Team for Budweiser Game Of Kings

Fast-rising Rivers United winger Kayode Ishaq says he is delighted to have been named in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) team that will play the Budweiser Game of Kings which features La Liga legend, Roberto Carlos as well as EPL great, John Terry.


The former Remo Stars and Shooting Stars forward have been rewarded for their hard work and skill.


Ishaq, has gone about his work diligently and has been regarded as one of the talented wingers for Stanley Eguma's Rivers United squad.


The former Golden Eaglets' ace has wasted little time in becoming a fan favorite in Port Harcourt and has been tipped to eventually break into the national team proper.


“I am happy that the work I have been doing is being recognized. I am happy to work and learn from the players in camp,” Ishaq told the Media.


“Every player wants to play in such a big match so I am happy to have been in so I am looking forward to it.”


It will be recalled that Ishaq was part of the NPFL U-17 All-Stars team that lost 2-1 to Atletico Madrid at the 2017 edition of the Gauteng Future Champions tournament.


The Budweiser Game Of Kings comes up in Lagos at the Teslim Balogun Stadium from 18th-21st November 2021.

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place.
