Olawoyin Excited with Maiden Goals for Keçiorengucu

Nigerian winger Ibrahim Olawoyin says he is "really excited" for scoring his first goals for his new club Ankara Keçiorengucu in their 3-2 win over Istanbulspor in the Turkish Division One.


The winger nicknamed Nigerian Hazard scored twice (in the 24th and 66th minute) of either side of equalising goals by Istanbulspor but his side found a winner deep into stoppage time through Vusal Isgandarli.


Olawoyin who was named Man of The Match in the encounter decided at thequalizingtepe, was grateful for the goals, and thanked his teammates for it.


"I am really excited, scoring my first goal for the club and also scoring my first professional goal outside Nigeria. I give thanks to Almighty Allah and my teammates for making it possible," said the 23-year old.


Ankara Keçiorengucu have lost their last five matches in the Turkish second division, a run which has seen them drop to the bottom of the table. Olawoyin was a relieved man after Saturday's win.


"The what a relief to us because it's been long we got a win or even a draw. that won a game in the month of August so we are all happy with the win.


"I'm happy we won with our new coach today because this is his first official game despite resuming training with us three days to this game. It’s a relief to the entire team and Keçiorengucu fans that more victories are coming," he added.


The former Abia Warriors and Rangers International winger concluded by stating that his goals on Saturday will help his confidence further and that of his team.


"Today’s win will boost my confidence going into future games with my team and I believe we are going to keep fighting for all available points both home and away," he concluded.
