Algerian Football League Champions, CR Belouizdad have arrived in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital to face Nigerian football league Champions, Akwa United FC in the CAF Champions League first leg preliminary round on Sunday.


The 41-man delegation made up of 23 players and 18 officials arrived in Abuja on Thursday on a chartered flight and touched down at Victor Attah International Airport via Ibom Air 201 at 10:05 am.


The team will be deprived of the services of Bakir and Mohammed Belkhir due to injury. The technical staff will have to count on Toufik Moussaoui, Mokhtar Belkheiter, Chemseddine Nessakh, Chouaib Keddad, Sofiane Bouchar, Zakaria Draoui, Kheireddine Mrizigue, Housseyn Selmi, Larbi Tabti, Hicham Khalfallah, and Khaled Bousseliou for the start of this first round.

Kwara United GM Badawiy Banned for Two Years from Lagos Stadia

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place. He made reckless attempts to run and celebrate in front of the five state governors seated in the VVIP section of the stadium, thereby jeopardizing their safety as well as that of other prominent dignitaries and industry leaders present.
