Eid-Ul- Kabir Celebration: Oyo South SYAN Advices Muslims to be Steadfast and be Security
The Senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District in the Southern Youth Assembly of Nigeria (SYAN), Hon. Adewoyin Adekola Tijani has felicitated with Muslims across the globe particularly Nigerians on the occasion of the 1442 Edi-il-Kabir celebration.
In a statement signed in Ibadan on Tuesday, 20th of July, 2021 by his SA Media, Olusola Hammed, Hon. Adewoyin congratulated Muslims on the occasion of this year's Eid-il Kabir celebration completion saying they should be grateful to Almighty Allah for witnessing yet another Eid-il Kabir in sound health and with peaceful heart. Hon. Adewoyin stated that "it is only with the grace of Allah that we are dolebrating Eid 1442, therefore we should be grateful to Allah who spares our lives to celebrate it despite the mammoth challenges facing our dear country and the economic hardship been experienced by the common man on the street".
The statement further stated that " reconnecting with Allah via the true practice of Islam by Muslims is the only recipe to overcoming the myriads of challenges facing Nigeria as a nation".
The statement however enjoined Musims to continue exhibiting the lessons and virtues of Eid-il Kabir which include sacrificing in the course of Almighty Allah, love, piety, patience, kindness, and sincerity in all our dealings.
The SA Media to Hon. Adewoyin in the statement however called on the Oyo State government to find a lasting to the rising wave of crimes like incessant killings of farmers in the Igangan town, banditry, kidnapping, rape, and blood-sucking terrorism which has threaten our continued corporate existence as a nation.
The statement reads in part, Excellency Sir, I will implore you to do the needful by calling the leaders of both tribes to a round table to discuss whatever may be the cause of conflict between them as this is not the first time the indigenes of Igangan and Fulani are leaving together in peace and harmony from the inception of Nigeria both tribes have been leaving together in one accord without internal or external aggression
Excellency Sir, with due respect to your personality and as a number one citizen of the State, I believe that you had made your points known during the last visitation to Igangan town that if such should happen again we should hold you responsible. I am appealing to you sir help find a lasting solution to their grief.
It, therefore, lends its support to the continued synergy between government and the citizenry to expose and apprehend the perpetrators as they are not ghosts but residents within our neighborhood.
