Aruna Hails Minister for Brokering Peace

Nigeria's General Team Captain to the Tokyo Olympics Aruna Quadri has assured that peace had returned to Team Nigeria camp in Tokyo following the intervention of the Minister of Youth and Sports  Development  Mr. Sunday Dare.


According to the African  Champion," I had a fruitful meeting with the  Minister based on my position as General Team captain to resolve the issues surrounding the training grant of Nigerian athletes based overseas. The meeting has allayed our fears and was very reassuring.  The athletes  are now relaxed  with the action taken by the Minister."


Aruna expressed dismay over the actions of some mischief makers who were trying to rubbish the efforts of the Minister by not doing their job when the occasion demands.

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place. He made reckless attempts to run and celebrate in front of the five state governors seated in the VVIP section of the stadium, thereby jeopardizing their safety as well as that of other prominent dignitaries and industry leaders present.
