Former Plateau State Super League Champions, Jazzy Stars Football Academy had to sweat through the skin of their teeth to make it to the quarter finals of the league.


The 2006/2007 champions was dragged to the sudden death of penalty lotteries by their Round of 16 opponents, Samscyon Football Club after the regulation time score ended goaless.

Jazzy Stars made the quarter finals 7-6 on penalties.


In other Round of 16 knockout matches, Panriang fc beat Tempers fc 2-1.


Panriang fc also booked  the quarter final ticket after overcoming Tempers fc 2-1, the same scoreline was recorded in the match between Timmy Kwanto fc and Selenei fc.

Timmy Kwanto fc made the last 8, beating Selenei fc 2-1.


Jacob Sambo's second half goal was all Delux Football Academy needed to beat FC Izam 1-0 to make the best 8.

The semi final tickets will be for the hunt today as the quarter final matches take center stage.


Here are the quarter final pairings:


By 10am, 2005/2006 Champions, Learning fc of Bukuru, Jos will tackle Datyem United fc of Langtang North.


At 12noon, Panriang fc of Mangu vs Timmy Kwanto fc of Langtang North.


At 2pm, Shendam United fc of Shendam vs Deluxe FA of Jos.


And at 4pm, 2006/2007 Champions, Jazzy Stars FA will entertain Sauki Oil & Gas fc/Tudun Wada FA, all of Jos.


All matches will be played today at the Rwang Pam Township Stadium.
