NWFL Championship Update: Adamawa Queen's Top Table in Day One

Adamawa Queens of Yola today at the Aguiyi Ironsi Sports Complex, Abuja, shot into an early lead on the NWFL Championship table when they defeated Gallant Queens Fc 2-0 to get the first three points of the competition.


With this victory, Adamawa Queens grabbed the first three points to top the table. 


Adamawa Queens' two goals were scored by Chineye George.


Meanwhile, the opening game between Kwara Ladies and Heartland Queens ended in a 1-1 draw as the two teams shared one point apiece to go second and third places.


Chioma John scored Heartland Queens'  only goal of the match, while Kwara Ladies' equalizer was scored by Ahmed Adeola to keep scores at 1-1.


On the Day 2 of the NWFL Championship, Naija Ratels Football club will battle against 

Heartland Queens FC of Owerri at 10 a.m, while Kwara Ladies' slug it out with  League leaders Adamawa Queens at 12 noon all at the Aguiyi Ironsi Sports Complex.


It was also revealed by the NWFL Secretariat that, Kaduna Queens was actually knocked out of the NWFL Championship because of the failure of the club to provide the players' medical records aside from other club registration and Licensing violations.
