NWFL Championship League Update: Naija Ratels Win First Game, Trail Adamawa

Naija Ratels Football Club started their campaign in the NWFL Championship League on a winning note after they defeated Heartland Queens of Owerri 2-0 at the Aguiyi Ironsi Sports Complex, Abuja.


Despite the victory, Naija Ratels trail league leaders Adamawa Queens, as the Yola Girls recorded their second victory from two matches against Kwara Ladies. Adamawa defeated Kwara Ladies 3-0 to Garner 6 points against Naija Ratels FC three points with a game in hand.


After Day Two of the NWFL Championship League, Adamawa retained lead on the table with 6 points from two matches, two wins, five goals for, none against and ±5 goal difference.


Naija Ratels Fc are second on the table with three points from one game, two goals for, none against and ±2 goal difference.


In third place is Heartland Queens of Owerri with one point from two matches, one draw and a loss, one goal for, three against and -2 goals difference.


In fourth place is Kwara Ladies with one point from two matches. One draw, one loss, one goal for, four goals against and -3 goal difference.


At the bottom of the table is Gallant Queens, they have zero point from one game. One loss, no goal for, two against and -2 goal difference.


Tomorrow, Friday 25th June is a Rest Day for all the teams.


Matches will resume on Saturday, June 26 at the Aguiyi Ironsi Sports Complex, Abuja, with Heartland Queens taking on Gallant Queens at 2pm and Naija Ratels battle against Kwara Ladies at 4pm.
