Naija Ratels Extend Hands Of Love To Orphans Ahead NWFL Championship Season
Smiles widened and the cheers erupted as players of the NWFL Championship side, Naija Ratels took time out to visit the Orphanage at the Abuja Children Home, Karu, on Sunday, to show support to the kids.
Head Coach, Bankole Olowookere, Sunday Uduh, Tobi Doolumun, Peter Onoja, and others, led the players to pay, a heartwarming visit, handling out food items, toys, educational material, and toiletries to the kids.
The entire squad also passed on their wishes to the children and staff of the orphanage and also spent quality time, mingling, playing and praying with the kids, some of whom are said to be homeless since birth.
In her reaction, the Captain of the side, Paulina Ali said it was a rare opportunity for them to visit the special kids at the orphanage, noting that the team will keep supporting them from time to time.
It has been really special to be here today, an incredible place especially for the players and the staff visiting the page for the first time ever. We relish this photo opportunity and look forward to doing this from time to time".
"I urge this one to keep supporting these set of kids, as they aren't asthisileged as many of us. We are all united under one God and that is our belief and strength.
Also speaking, Head Coach of the team, Bankole Olowookere stressed that it's a thing of joy to pray, spend time and support the kids living in the orphanage.
"The aim of coming today is to show our appreciation for the support we've been given, by giving back to the community and to also remind the kids that they are special.
"We hope this visit will inspire them, make them stronger and become great in the nearest future,ure.
An official of .the Abuja Children Home, Mrs Grace Gada, who received the gifts. On behalf of the management of the Orphanage, showed appreciation through her words and was elated over the donations, tasking them to keep doing more.
"We are glad and very grateful to the management of Naija Ratels FCa longs nice gesture will go along way in helping the kids, mental long hope other groups will emulate this." She concluded.
