Manchester United Fans Hit Out at Gareth Southgate Over Aaron Wan-Bissaka Treatment
Manchester United fans can't believe that Aaron Wan-Bissaka has once again missed out on a spot in the England squad.
Gareth Southgate named his provisional 33-man squad for the upcoming European Championship on Tuesday, with his final 26 being selected on June 1 ahead of warm-up games against Austria and Romania.
United have six representatives in the squad, with Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Luke Shaw, Jesse Lingard, Dean Henderson, and, despite currently being sidelined with an ankle injury, Harry Maguire all cutting.
However, Wan-Bissaka will not feature - despite Southgate naming four right-backs in his provisional squad.
The 23-year-old has played every minute of all but four Premier League matches this season and, while continuing to be solid at the back, has also improved the attacking side of his game by contributing two goals and six assists in all competitions.
Sadly for Wan-Bissaka, though, right-back happens to be England's most well-stocked position and Southgate has named Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Reece James ahead of him.
Wan-Bissaka is yet to earn a full England cap after representing his country at youth level and had to pull out of the squad the one time he was called up due to injury.
After a solid season, supporters are stunned that the United man couldn't even make it in a 33-squad.

The fact AWB didn’t even make the provisional squad is quite concerning tbh if Southgate is still in charge after the Euros he’s probably better off representing Congo.

How has AWB not even made the provisional England squad?
I get that England has a ton of good right-backs but Southgate's constant overlooking of him is ridiculous.

Also, the fact that Tyrone Mings might make the Euros squad should cause UEFA to suspend England from all competitions indefinitely.

Nah man AWB couldn't even make the 33 man squad, I don’t really understand this agenda from SouthgateðŸ˜

Southgate's constant ignoring of AWB is infuriating. We're going to miss out on the best 1v1 defender we have because of his incompetence.
England will get their Euro 2020 campaign underway against Croatia on June 13, before facing Scotland on June 18 and the Czech Republic in their final group game on June 22.
