Former commissioner for sports in Ogun State, Hon. Bukola Olopade has joined well-meaning Nigerians and sports stakeholders to felicitate the Hon. Minister of Youth and sports development, Chief Sunday Akin Dare as he clocks 55.


Hon. Olopade who is the brain behind several epoch-making sporting events in the country noted that the emergence of Sunday Dare as the custodian of sports has reshaped and given birth to so many events for the development of the sports sector.


Hon. Olopade, the Chief Executive Officer of the foremost Sports Management Company, Nilayo Sports Management Limited congratulated the Agbaakin of Ogbomosho, Oyo State, and expressed confidence that his reign as the sports minister will continue to record success on all front.


"Many happy returns and Happy Birthday Hon. Minister sir, you are an inspiration to so many people and I pray that you continue to wax stronger in different spheres".


"I know you have palpable plans for the development of sports in the country, may the Lord give you the strength to put them in place gradually, once again, Happy Birthday and many happy returns Agbaakin".

Kwara United GM Badawiy Banned for Two Years from Lagos Stadia

The Lagos State Football Association board has swiftly acted to address a blemish on the otherwise impeccable organization of the 2025 President Federation Cup finals, which took place last Saturday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. During the highly charged final match between Abakaliki FC and Kwara United, it was observed that the General Manager of the victorious Kwara United, Mr. Bashir Badawiy, violated the stringent security measures in place. He made reckless attempts to run and celebrate in front of the five state governors seated in the VVIP section of the stadium, thereby jeopardizing their safety as well as that of other prominent dignitaries and industry leaders present.
