Belgian Club, KAS Eupen Unveils 36 Lion Product, Wedingo

  Belgian club KAS Eupen has finalized the loan acquisition of Nigerian left winger Ade Wedingo Oguns for the remainder of the season. The arrangement was expedited by Cem Sagar, CEO of Diamond Sports Management, along with his reliable associate Brian Paramore. Hajji Gafar Olawale Liameed, Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association, was present at the unveiling event on Thursday. Wedingo's football career began at 36 Lion, and he has also played in the Benin Republic, Caracas, and Wydad Casablanca. Hailing from Iwaya, Wedingo has entered into a contract with KAS Eupen that extends until the season's conclusion, with an option for a three-year extension. The 23-year-old scored 20 goals and provided 13 assists in 68 matches during his time at Caracas. He then added 5 goals and 2 assists in 18 appearances while at Wydad Casablanca. As Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Oloyede has been a vocal advocate for eliminating examination malpractices that have plagued Nigeria’s education system for decades. Examination malpractices in Nigeria date back to 1914, during the Cambridge examination. Various stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and candidates, have contributed to the menace. Oloyede identifies the proliferation of illegal tutorial centers, or “miracle centers,” as a major contributor to examination malpractices. These centers, often owned by influential individuals, compromise the examination process. Despite challenges, Oloyede remains committed to eradicating examination malpractices. Suspension of Tairu Hassan, Chairman of the Lagos State Coaches Association: An Overview

  The reasons behind the suspension of Tairu Hassan, chairman of the Lagos State Football Coaches Association, by the Lagos State Football Association as a Congress member have been disclosed. Over the weekend, the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) provisionally suspended the LSFCA, led by Tairu Hassan, and dismissed him as a Congress member following a virtual executive meeting. The decision was made due to allegations of insubordination and gross misconduct. Reports indicate that the suspension and dismissal were enacted immediately after seven out of the twelve executive members present at the virtual meeting voted in favor of the sanctions. The final approval of these actions will be determined by the General Congress, as only four members opposed the sanctions and one abstained from voting.   A total of 28 rookie football teams will kick off their campaigns in the opening round of the Lagos State Challenge Cup, commonly referred to as the Lagos FA Cup. This highly anticipated football tournament, the largest in the state, is set to begin on January 22, 2025, at various designated venues. In total, 80 teams have registered for the men's category, while four teams will compete in the women's category. During the draw held on Wednesday at the Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) secretariat, it was confirmed that the 28 rookie teams will face off against each other in the first round. OFFICIAL: 36 Lion graduate Samson Akinyoola joins Kazma

  Kazma have completed the signing of Benin international Samson Akinyoola until the end of the season. The player was accompanied to the signing of contract by CEO of Diamond Sports Management Cem Sagar. The 24-year-old will link up with Nigerian midfielder Kingsley Sokari at the Kuwaiti Premier League side.  Akinyoola was plying his trade at Egyptian club Zamalek before ending association with them by mutual consent. During his time in Egypt, Akinyoola scored 5 goals in 33 games. Born in Nigeria, Samson came through the youth ranks of 36 Lion FC, who sent him on loan to Slovakian club Dunajska in 2019, before making a permanent move to the country, but through FK Senica. During his time in Caracas, Akinyoola scored 28 goals and provided 11 assists in 67 games, winning the league’s top scorer award in his debut season with 18 goals.
